I was really looking forward to this book. A child of the 60's and a teen of the 70's, Tiger Beat was required reading for me. I preferred it over "16" Magazine. It is a good and easy read. **SPOILER ALERT** I'd give it 5 stars if it weren't for her overly descriptive rendering of her sex life and her affair with a rock singer. Moses often quoted how important it was for Tiger Beat to be family friendly, and I guess I hoped for the same in her book.I loved everything about the Monkees and was surprised to learn that the magazine really "made it" in the business because of their extensive coverage of the Monkees. I had all the posters of the Monkees, Bobby Sherman and The Osmonds (was never a David Cassidy fan). I loved Tiger Beat.Moses' descriptions of how she rose up to editor, her encounters with so many rock stars and actors, and even calling out some who were just plain rude was fun to read. It's nice to know that she was actually friends Bobby Sherman (who wrote the forward) and the Osmonds. I also liked reading about some stars I had forgotten about like Dino, Desi and Billy, and Sajid Khan ( I never knew who he was.... but I saw his name all the time!). If you grew up in the 60's and 70's, you will love this book.
